Fisheries Management Scotland Publish Annual Review 2023

Missing Salmon Alliance member, Fisheries Management Scotland has published their Annual Review 2023.

Working to conserve Scotland’s wild salmon and native freshwater fish, Fisheries Management Scotland is the representative body for Scotland’s District Salmon Fishery Boards, Rivers and Fisheries Trusts and the River Tweed Commission.

Launching the report, Chairman Richard Sankey said: “It is with great pleasure that I introduce our latest annual review. We have tried to provide an overview of the work of the staff team, some examples of the excellent projects undertaken by our members, and a perspective on some important policy developments which have occurred in the last year.”

The Annual Review 2023 can be read here.

As an Alliance of six organisations, we will build on the existing work of our partners and maximise our impact by taking a coordinated approach and vital action in order to halt and reverse the decline of wild Atlantic salmon.

The goal of the Missing Salmon Alliance is to build an evidence-base to influence national and international decision-makers to regulate activities that adversely impact wild Atlantic salmon.
